The Australian Film Commission (AFC) today announced that the short film The Mechanicals has been selected to screen in the Corto-Cortissimo competitive short film section of the 62nd Venice International Film Festival.
Written and directed by Leon Ford and produced by Nicole O’Donohue, The Mechanicals is an eight-minute drama funded under the AFC’s short drama production funding strand. Bold and intriguing, the film looks behind the walls of an everyday house and reveals what goes on in the spaces we can’t see.
