‘Bloody Footy’ gets local awards and wears a heart of gold on its sleeve.

After recent competition screenings at the Berlin and Tribeca Film Festivals, awards in Kenya and screenings in Vladivostok, Hong Kong and Montreal, Bloody Footy, directed by Dean Chircop and produced by Defrim Isai and has wrapped up 2006 with two local awards at the inaugural ‘Heart of Gold’ Film Festival on the Sunshine Coast winning Best Narrative and Best Australian Short Film. This concludes a very successful year for the film with over 29 local and international film festival screenings and eight awards since August 2005 including ATOM – Best Short Fiction (2005).
