The Story of the Kelly Gang – the world’s first feature film –
digitally restored to mark centenary celebrations
Thursday 23 November 2006: Surviving footage of what is widely regarded as the world’s first feature-length film, The Story of the Kelly Gang (1906), has been recovered and restored by the National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) and will have its world premiere screening in Canberra on 30 November.
