Ross Kauffman co-director of the Oscar-winning documentary Born into Brothels (2004) will be a special guest at the Australian International Documentary Conference, taking place in Adelaide from February 23 to 26 in 2007.
Conference Director Joost den Hartog says; “Ross fits in with the 20 year AIDC anniversary strand which will focus on the true role of documentary making; portraying society, and providing audiences with a window into other worlds. Documentary serves an important purpose to bring urgent stories under the attention of audiences around the world. Stories that raise awareness about injustice in today’s world”.
