Aussie comedy short ‘Atonement Tonight’ has won its second screenplay award in as many months this time at the Clevelend Film Festival Indiegathering The short comedy animation previously won a Columbine award for best short screenplay at the Moondance Film Festival in June 2006. In late July the film will play before an estimated audience of 40,000 at the prestigious Expresio de Corto Film Festival in Mexico.

Famed for discovering emerging talent, Expresio de Corto features the best international short films from 2006 Cannes & Annecy film festivals and the 2005 Oscars as well as a small selection of international shorts of which Atonement Tonight is one. Tim Burton is an invited guest at this year’s festival.
