12 films have been selected to screen in competition in the Port Shorts International Film Festival 2005 on Friday November at 18 at the Clink Theatre, Mowbray Street, Port Douglas.
The films selected cover a diverse range of topics and formats but all encompass this years theme of “fish” and are 3 minutes or shorter in length. Highlights include Port Douglas film maker Rod Davis’ documentary “A New Day” about the rebuilding of a community devastated by the Tsunami in Sri Lanka, the Super 8mm short film “The Next Metamorphisis” based on a novel by Franz Kafka by US film maker David Pike and the animation “Remembering” by writer/director Grant Scicluna.
