Toting up Oscars on the mantlepiece

Contrary to some pundits, Catherine Martin and team have two Oscars for the look of The Great Gatsby. But no surprises for Cate.

And YES, Cate Blanchett has The Academy Award for Best Actress. It is her second: in 2004 she won her first Oscar, for Supporting Actress celebrating her portrayal of Katherine Hepburn in The Aviator.

Costume Design and Production Design both fell to the Gatsby team. The production design award was shared with Beverley Dunn, who now has one Oscar against Martin’s four. Two for Moulin Rouge.
