The Victorian Government has, via Film Victoria, provided $3.2 million worth of funding for eight screen projects.
The projects include five television shows: Wentworth (season two), a drama set in a women’s prison whose first season was aired to strong reviews earlier this year (its first episode was the highest rated Australian drama premiere in Foxtel history); The Adventures of Black Beauty (season five), marking a return of Beauty, the horse that has entertained families since the 1970s; Wacky Racers; Little Lunch; and 8MMM Aboriginal Radio, Trisha Morton Thomas’s six-part comedy series set in Alice Spring that parodies the inner-workings of Aboriginal corporations.
