Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has again scored an adaptation, but her adult novel will show on the small screen.

Rowling’s adult novel Casual Vacancy will be adapted by BBC One and is expected to air in 2014.

BBC reports Rowling is ‘thrilled’ by dramatisation prospects and thinks the novel is ‘best suited to television’.
