This week (5 August), the Morrison Government announced a $70,000 grant for the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) to commission an Indigenous filmmaker for a digital work as part of the UK/Australia Season themed Who are we now?
The project, tentatively titled Re/Vision, will see an Indigenous filmmaker working closely with the NFSA curatorial and technical team to produce a work that will ‘offer an interpretation of Australia’s audio-visual heritage to today’s audiences,’ the statement explained.
